"Every stay is better than the last"
We’ve stayed at Takapuna Beach Holiday Park multiple times, and every visit has been absolutely wonderful! Vivian and Courtney have been truly amazing—so friendly, helpful, and incredibly inviting. From the moment we arrive, they always make us feel welcome and go above and beyond to ensure our stay is enjoyable. The location is perfect—such a great spot, with an easy walk into the heart of Takapuna’s restaurants, eateries, and shops. And the setting is unbeatable! It’s so special to hear the waves lapping at night under the full moon. The facilities are always clean and well-maintained, making every stay better than the last. We can’t wait to come back again, next week! Thank you, thank you, thank you.
"Highly recommend this park 100%"
Highly recommend this park 100%, because it is pet friendly, is right on the beach, has a cafe next door, is not far to walk to the local shops or drive to the city, and best of all, it has the best view of Rangitoto Island we’ve ever seen. We’ll definitely be back!
"Location supersedes anything in Europe's Mediterranean"
Wow what a fantastic location. It will be even better once the rebuild is done. The camp is going to get a complete rebuild, it will be world class and l will be back. I’ve motorhomed in Spain, France, Portugal, and Italy. Takapuna Beach’s prestige and location supersedes anything in Europe’s Mediterranean. Staff were great and made me feel welcomed.

Great place to stay in the heart of Takapuna and right on the beach. It is a social spot during the day with lots of people and shops close by, but it is also very quiet and relaxing. I was lulled to sleep by the gentle swish of the ocean. They are also dog friendly, which was a wonderful bonus. We will definitely be returning!
"Close to CBD but far enough to relax"
Stayed on a powered campsite. Great place, friendly staff, and the location is amazing. Close enough to CBD but far enough to relax if we wanted to. Cafe right next door has really fresh oysters, which I’ve had a couple dozen myself so far!

"HIGHLY recommend - suitable for all campers"
My partner and I had properly bought camping items (tent) to first time experience a great getaway, and the experience here was amazing. Affordable to have a powered camp site, beautiful shops near by, healthy activities occurring at the beach near by (many locations to swim as there is sand and rock formation). Beautiful to drive further within Auckland from this location – you’d be impressed. HIGHLY recommend and it’s suitable for all campers.

Just an awesome location with a friendly team. Sites are a little compact and the buildings are clean. I feel so lucky to have found this site overlooking the water, 30 seconds walk from a cafe, 5 minutes walk from a vibrant town centre.
"Amazing ambiance"
Great little camp with amazing ambiance. Fantastic staff that keep the facilities looking clean and tidy. A bonus being able to see the yachts.

We really enjoyed our stay thank you. The manager was exceptional (what a nice guy, very communicative and obviously dedicated to doing a good job at the camp!) Actually all the staff were friendly!

The greeting was very friendly and arrival and departure processes straightforward. We very much appreciated the hot showers and superb beach front location. Sadly we only had one night, I hope we get back here to explore more.

"Amazing mini vacay"
We (being myself and 2 year old) had an absolute amazing mini vacay staying in one of the cabins. Staff were so friendly and amazing facilities were clean and the bed was so comfortable. Highly recommend!

We were rapt to be staying back at this great location. Extremely happy with our cabin, very comfortable bed and bedding, great staff. Will be brilliant when there is a new kitchen & bathrooms. Keep up the good work.

Staff are always friendly. Accommodation is good and you get what you pay for. I love that it’s very close to the beach. A quiet and charming holiday park just down the street of a busy shopping district.

The new ensuite cabins are brilliant, they just need more… Park is located as expected in an incredible spot geographically. Takapuna Beach has swimming, one of Auckland’s TOP cafes right next door, great shopping and motorway access. Perfect for a caravan for 6-10 nights or longer… It’s one of the more costly powered site parks in New Zealand, BUT for good reason! Managers are awesome… Like seriously brilliant. A RARE find in private business caravan parks these days… We usually prefer NZMCA or DOC parks. Overall you won’t be disappointed… just pray for sunny weather!
"Overall, a fantastic experience"
Stayed here on our first night in New Zealand. The park was a short drive from the airport, long enough to get comfortable with the van, but not too far after a long-haul flight. The bathroom facilities are comfortable but a bit tired. The location can’t be beat. Overall, a fantastic experience.

Had a great stay, booked 1 night and stayed 3. Perfect location, walking distance into Takapuna. Great spot, we will be back.
"Management here was above awesome"
Management here was above awesome. (Especially Franz! Hopefully I spelled it correctly) We stayed in a campervan and called for a last minute booking and they had no problem getting us a spot for the first night. The second day we had to move to another site. (Site 1 BTW best view in the park). They moved the van for us so we wouldn’t have to wait to start our adventures. Would definitely recommend this place!
"The views are beautiful"
Love Takapuna Beach Holiday Park. We have stayed a few times in our motorhome on the beach front sites. The views are beautiful. It’s amazing it’s in the middle of the city. Added bonus there is a very nice cafe right outside the park. Great showers and friendly staff too. Highly recommend!
"Second time staying here"
Second time staying here, brilliant location and exactly what you need. We stayed in the cabin. Cosy and clean. Bathrooms and kitchens clean. Showers amazing, hot water pressure. Great stay!
"Great holiday park to base yourself"
Great holiday park in which to base yourself when visiting Auckland. Good amenities and right on the beach. Manager is friendly and helpful and the view over Rangitoto is fantastic.
"An authentic kiwi camping experience"
Beautiful place! We are staying for the weekend in a cabin. Sure it’s definitely older but it’s super clean, close to lots of restaurants etc and the beach is beautiful. I don’t find the older bathrooms and kitchen a problem. True kiwi camping! Definitely recommend if you want an authentic kiwi camping experience.
