Our Location
Takapuna Beach is Auckland’s best city and beach location! Our park occupies a prime location in the heart of Takapuna on Auckland’s North Shore. We offer absolute beach front sites right next to the water with stunning views of Rangitoto Island and the Hauraki Gulf. You’ll wake up listening to the sound of the waves and breathing in the sea air. You’ll feel miles away from civilisation, even though we are conveniently super close!
The busy Takapuna shopping centre is just a few blocks away with the local beach reserve and boat ramp next door. The bars and restaurants of Takapuna are a short walk from the Holiday Park, as is the Bruce Mason Centre, Takapuna’s main conference and entertainment venue. For water sports enthusiasts, Takapuna hosts yachting, kayaking, waka, swimming and numerous other sporting activities. The beach is also a favourite with kite surfers, wind surfers, paddle boarders and even surfers (given the right conditions). For wildlife fans we have seen Dolphins and Orcas from the Holiday Park, and there are an abundance of seabirds. If you’re lucky, you might even spot a Blue Penguin! We are also close to public transport routes via bus and/or bus and ferry to explore the treasures that the Auckland area has to offer, including Devonport, the CBD with its city attractions, and the Hauraki Gulf Islands.
Our Owners
Takapuna Beach Holiday Park came under new ownership on 1 October 2019 to Steve Edwards & Jen Levien, who secured a 33 year lease. So who are Steve & Jen? We have been owner/operators of Holiday Parks since 2003 and currently own 3 other Holiday Parks in key areas around the South Island. We have done a lot of development over the years, so would like to think we have a pretty sound idea of what we’re doing, however we are always open to listen and learn. As the old saying goes “you don’t know what you don’t know”.
Steve has a background in engineering and had his own Engineering firm in Wellington. Prior to this he drove coaches through the UK/Ireland, Europe, Scandinavia and Russia for Contiki. Jen’s family have always been involved in the Holiday Park industry and was literally born into this environment as her parents purchased their first Holiday Park in the Far North in the early 1970’s. Her two brothers & their wives also own Holiday Parks, so it’s a real family affair for us. In fact, Holiday Parks Conferences often turn into family reunions!
Our Plans
Our long term goal for Takapuna Beach Holiday Park is to turn it into a quality, modern, clean & user friendly accommodation provider where you can bring your family, friends, grandparents and grandkids to create those holiday memories that last a lifetime. Over time, we will be offering a small range of accommodation options where guests will be all able to take in the stunning views of Rangitoto Island and make the most of the easy beach access. So, moving forward it will be an exciting time to be involved with Takapuna Beach Holiday Park.
